Project Name Primary Prevention Initiative for Children & Youth Exposed to Domestic Violence


Project Description
 Primary Prevention Initiative for Children and Youth Exposed to Domestic Violence assists domestic violence survivors (women) to develop the resources to overcome the stressors that may trigger abusive or neglectful behavior toward their children, improve their communication and discipline techniques, while creating a culture of violence prevention in their households. It also assists residents ages 6 through 18, to learn and use life skills that will result in developing self control and knowing/using non-violent strategies.


Eligibility Criteria All adults, youth and children, who are St. Louis County residents living at The Women’s Safe House, are eligible for services through the Primary Prevention Initiative for Children and Youth Exposed to Domestic Violence program.
