Project Name St. Louis County Youth Resource Center
Project Description County Youth Programs provides services to youth in community-base sites, including the Youth Resource Center in the north county community of Spanish Lake. Services on site include: collaborative  Case Management; strength-based assessment and individual care planning; emergency support; Mental Health Counseling; GED/Basic Skills classes; Essential Life Skills, Leadership and Resiliency  Training;  Teen Parent Education; Job search assistance; motivational counseling; access to Substance Abuse services, and  preventive healthcare.
Eligibility Criteria Male and female youth age 12 through 19 years old, including: disconnected youth who are separated from school, dropped out, or at risk of dropping out of school; children and youth at risk for unhealthy behaviors, without strong family support or financial resources to obtain mental health services; children and youth with symptoms of abuse; youth aging out/in transition from temporary, unstable and unsafe living arrangements; pregnant/parenting teens; homeless youth; and children exhibiting problematic behavioral or emotional symptoms. Youth ages 17 to 19 are eligible for alternative/GED educational services.
