Project Description Nurturing Kids serves children who are at risk of child abuse and neglect and their families.  Families and Case Managers work together to devise a service plan that addressed the immediate safety of the children and the needs and strengths of the family.  Case Managers provide direct services to help vulnerable children and families build skills that will reduce the likelihood of child abuse and neglect.  Direct services may include counseling, housing and utility assistance and parenting education.  Referrals to specialized programs will be provided including medical care, mental health services, employment, housing and material goods assistance.
