Project Description The Family Support and Intervention Program, as provided by Better Family Life, offers individual, family, and group counseling, as well as psychological assessments to juveniles (age 19 and under) and families.  Based on the interventions/services to be offered, individual and/or group counseling services will address the following behavioral issues (not an exhaustive list):  Attention Deficits and Impulsivity, Anger/Aggression/Bullying, Anxiety, Depression, Truancy, Trauma, Grief, and Associated difficulties (i.e., academic and/or emotional disturbances).  Behaviors addressed in family counseling will address concerns of family stability, family communication problems, and other issues as indicated in the referral process.   The Better Family Life Inc. Wellness and Clinical Services division is equipped with a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Psychology trainees who will be available to provide psychological assessments for designated youth.  Referrals for assessments can be initiated to obtain objective information on the client’s cognitive, achievement, and/or personality status.  Products of the psychological assessments can be utilized for developing a working list of diagnostic concerns, determining client strengths and areas for improvement, treatment planning, and determination of the efficacy of client treatment.
