Project Description

Licensed counselors assist children 4-19 who have been exposed to domestic abuse via play/talk therapy, EMDR, and TF-CBT.  Parents of children younger than four are helped in addressing common concerns resulting from exposure to intimate partner violence in their home both past and present.  Consultation is available for parenting skill development.

Eligibility Criteria Parents and their children who have experienced/witnessed domestic violence.  ALIVE does not charge for services rendered.  No person seeking services will be denied access due to inability to pay.

Nights of Safety


Project Description

Project Description: The “Nights of Safety” emergency shelter program provides shelter and basic necessities when there is no room available at local domestic violence shelters. The program focuses on assisting clients with finding a longer-term safe shelter and on helping clients create and achieve goals that will enable them to rebuild lives free of violence.



Eligibility Criteria
Parents and children who are in immediate danger due to domestic violence but who are unable to secure shelter at one of the area’s domestic violence shelters.
